Powering the Future
Powering the Future is a course that I designed the visuals for 98% of the visual for while working at Knovva Academy. Powering the Future content offers a look at how our world generates electricity and other forms of energy that may power our world in the future. It discusses how energy is an essential part of our daily lives, but our global energy needs change as we move towards the future. Powering the Future asks students to understand the science and engineering behind sustainable energy sources. Students then apply this knowledge to a range of policy and engineering problems that they work on both individually and collaboratively. This work will serve as a foundation for students to become future leaders who change the way our world consumes energy.

Solution
My design approach to this course was to make it very much illustrated. Using simple shapes and a small range of colors. Our target audience were high school students, from 13-18 years of age. I wanted an engaging design to combat the extensive amount of text that within the lesson. The infographic like art style gave me a lot of flexibility to illustrate anything using basic shapes and colors.
The art style even made animations and motion graphic faster and easier to produce.
This course is currently being sold on Knovva Academy’s online platform and being used by students globally.
